D. Saková: Oil flow to Slovakia has just been restored

Oil is once again flowing to Slovakia through the Druzhba pipeline. The state-owned company Transpetrol, which operates under the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (MoE SR), has recorded the resumption of oil supplies, with oil flow currently at normal levels. However, MoE SR will closely monitor supplies in coming days.

“The flow of oil to Slovakia is currently normal. In the coming days, we will have clearer information on whether there will be any adjustments to the delivery schedule for this month and whether damage to infrastructure outside the territory of the Slovak Republic will have an effect on the total monthly volume of deliveries. However, I believe that given the rapid restoration of flow through the Druzhba pipeline, the impact will be minimal,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková.

Due to damage to a transformer station in Russia, oil supplies to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline were suspended on Monday, August 18, 2025. This was the second instance of infrastructure damage in seven days, but in this case, it also resulted in the pipeline’s functionality being restricted.
