Jaguar Land Rover’s Nitra Plant gradually resumes operations
Jaguar Land Rover has launched a phased restart of its manufacturing operations, including at its Nitra plant in Slovakia, following a major global cyberattack that disrupted the company’s production worldwide. Operations at the Nitra plant are resuming production starting today, October 8, 2025, and will be restored in phases. The management of Jaguar Land Rover’s Nitra plant informed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Denisa Saková.
„This is excellent news, especially for all employees, who are gradually receiving information about when they will be able to return to work, as well as for subcontractors, who will be able to resume their deliveries. I congratulate the entire team in Nitra on successfully overcoming this difficult period, and I believe that production will resume smoothly. I remain in contact with the company’s management and CEO, Guillermo Mancholas, and I look forward to seeing the plant running at full capacity during my next visit,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Denisa Saková.
Jaguar Land Rover is one of the largest employers in Slovakia, employing approximately 4,400 people in Nitra. During this period, Minister D. Saková remained in contact with the plant’s representatives and visited the facility during the shutdown. She was interested in the impact of the situation on production itself, as well as on employees and suppliers over the past few weeks. At the same time, she informed the company’s representatives about possible forms of state support.
The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic considers the gradual resumption of production in Nitra to be an important step towards stabilizing the situation and will continue to closely monitor further developments.
