Minister of Economy D. Saková: 281 new jobs to be created in Upper Nitra
On Tuesday, 15th of October 2024, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Denisa Saková, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President of the Korean company Hyundai Mobis, Lee Gyu Suk. In Nováky, Mobis plans to invest approximately €174 million in the construction of a new plant, which will create 281 new jobs. Mobis Slovakia intends to develop cooperation with the local economy by employing talent, using the services of regional suppliers and transferring technological know-how to the regions. This approach will not only support the local economy, but will also bring new solutions in the field of electric vehicle production, thereby contributing to strengthening Slovakia's competitiveness in the automotive industry.
"It is important to me that these posts will have above-average salaries and will help people in our regions. I am pleased that we are able to attract investments to Slovakia that will contribute to the development and better lives of people in the country," said Minister Saková.
Minister of Economy Denisa Saková also submitted a proposal to the Slovak government for investment aid for Mobis Slovakia, which plans to invest around €174 million in the construction of a new plant in Nováky. The investment will create up to 281 new jobs in the Upper Nitra region with an average salary of €1,966, which is significantly higher than the average in the Prievidza district. The approved investment aid of EUR 26 million will be granted exclusively in the form of tax relief.
