The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic has appointed new management for the state-owned company SPP

The Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (MoE SR), as the sole shareholder of the state-owned company SPP, has appointed new management for the company, effective September 4, 2025. The new CEO is Martin Húska, a current member of the Board of Directors. Juraj Ondris, who has also been a member of the SPP Board of Directors, has been appointed Chairman of the Board. Peter Bagin and Vladimír Švigár have also become new members of the company’s Board of Directors.

The ministry made the changes following the announcement of the departure of CEO Vojtech Ferencz. „I respect Mr. Ferencz’s decision. I thank him for his work during his two years in the company’s leadership. It was not an easy period, and I appreciate the extremely demanding work he has done over the past two years while leading the company. I believe that the new management will contribute equally to the further development and stability of the company, as well as to its important role in Slovakia’s energy security. This is also thanks to the experience they have already gained in the company,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Denisa Saková.
