Information for exporters into third countries

The European Commission is working on a number of tools to provide a comprehensive overview of the third countries' business and legal environment. You can find the tools below:

ACCESS2MARKETS

Access2Markets is a new portal for EU exporters and importers designed to obtain detailed information about:

  • Tariffs
  • Rules of Origin
  • Geographical Indications
  • Taxes and additional duties
  • Import procedures and formalities
  • Product requirements
  • Trade barriers

In addition, on the portal you can also find:

  • Detailed manuals for exporters/importers of goods and services
  • Guidelines on Rules of Origin
  • A tool to help to determine the origin of your product
  • Business terminology
  • Information on future tariffs under the FTAs
  • Trade flow statistics

On the portal you will find a video instruction on how to use the portal. It is also possible to sign up to online trainings on the portal. These trainings are organized by the Commission multiple times per year, with simultaneous interpretation to chosen languages.

ROSA 2

ROSA is a new, more user-friendly version of the rules of origin portal, which is now integrated into the Access2Markets. In ROSA 2 portal you will find the following information:

  • Rules of origin under the relevant agreements
  • Detailed information to find out, whether your product meets the preferential criteria
  • Explanation of the rules of origin
  • Practical examples
  • Direct access to relevant legislation
  • Other useful information

The guide covers export and import from and to:

  • Canada
  • Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama)
  • Colombia, Peru, Ecuador
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Great Britain
  • Vietnam
  • Neighboring countries applying the rules of origin of the Pan-European Mediterranean Convention (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Jordan, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Palestine, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine)

ACCESS2PROCUREMENT

Access2Procurement will provide important and up-to-date information on non-EU tendering opportunities that are open to European companies. The portal will be particularly useful for small and medium-sized companies, which usually have smaller amount of information about the public procurement in third countries. The portal is currently in a pilot phase and its services are temporarily limited to Canada´s and Japan´s tenders. (june 2022)

SINGLE ENTRY POINT

SEP is the first point of contact within the European Commission´s Directorate-General for Trade. It serves all international trade stakeholders who face difficulties in accessing third countries´ markets or for those, who find inconsistence in sustainability commitments. (TSD / GSP). Interested parties can submit a complaint directly to the contact form or write their complaints and observations to the following e-mail address: trade-single-entry-point@ec.europa.eu.

After receiving the complaint, the SEP team will individually analyze the complaint and prepare a solution.
